Event Production History
Purple Wave AV is a leading technical event production and hire company. Established in 2005 by our managing director Pete Roberts, with the aim to provide the latest most technically advanced technology with a friendly and supportive professional team of experts.
We believe a smaller team is more approachable and can fully understand your needs to provide better solutions. We love what we do and we’re prepared to go out of our way to make your entire experience, from booking to planning and delivery, simple and hassle-free.

The AV Team
Pete Roberts set up the company in 2005 having previously worked for a local audio visual hire company, a telephone and a satellite installation company. Pete has always been interested in technology and relishes the challenge of creating something new and technically special for each and every customer.
Rich Garrett worked with Pete as a freelancer for a number of years before joining the company in 2016. Having graduated in 2004 with a First in Broadcast Technology, Rich has worked in engineering and technology ever since and has professional membership of the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology). Out of work Rich volunteers his skills to work as Technical Manager for the national Apex Challenge competition for Explorer Scouts.
Tony Richardson works closely with Purple Wave AV as a freelancer specialising in video production and filming of events. He runs his own company Fluid HD Limited which was established in 2002.
Since 2016 we have been suppling equipment through Add to Event. Add to Event is an online marketplace that takes all the hassle out of finding the best suppliers for your event.
